Travel insurance is temporary and primarily covers medical emergencies during a short stay abroad. International medical insurance offers ongoing coverage for routine care, emergencies, and other long-term treatments for people living or frequently traveling abroad.
Any High Net-Worth Individual, expatriate, globally, excluding residents of the following countries: USA, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, UK (quotes available upon request for residents in these countries). Before subscription, each prospective client must complete a medical and KYC questionnaire. The medical questionnaire helps us assess the prospect’s health status to meet our selection criteria. The KYC allows us to understand the prospect's financial and asset situation.
Yes. However, in the following countries, only emergency medical expenses are covered if the stay is less than six weeks per year in each: USA, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, UK. Scheduled or planned medical treatments in these countries are not covered by your GHC card (quotes available upon request for residents in these countries to cover all other cares).
Unlike most offers in the international market that require you to use a specific network of healthcare providers, GHC allows you to freely choose the establishments and doctors you wish to consult. No prior authorization is required for medical intervention. You pay for the consultation with your GHC payment card, or for costly interventions, the healthcare facility contacts GHC’s insurer directly for direct payment. You never have to make any upfront payment.
- An ID
- A medical questionnaire
- A KYC form
No. With GHC, there are no waiting periods, grace periods, or deductibles.
In a medical emergency, immediately contact local emergency services or GHC’s insurer. Depending on the cost of the intervention, you may either pay medical fees with your GHC card (up to €3,000, with the limit being lifted upon request) or the hospital will directly contact GHC’s insurer for payment. With GHC, you have 24/7 assistance to guide you during emergencies and direct you to the most suitable healthcare facilities. TELADOC, a telemedicine tool included in GHC, allows video consultations with a doctor at any time in your language. An international prescription can be issued by the doctor after the consultation.
The policy is annual and automatically renewable. The GHC insurer cannot cancel your policy once subscribed: the contract is guaranteed for life. Only the policyholder can cancel, with a 3-month notice before the annual renewal. GHC reserves the right to cancel if the policyholder fails to pay the premium within 30 days before the start or annual renewal date or refuses to reimburse non-medical expenses paid with the GHC card.
You may accidentally use the GHC card for everyday expenses (restaurants, plane tickets, shopping, etc.) or medical expenses not covered by your contract (purely cosmetic surgery, sunglasses, etc.). These amounts will appear on your monthly expense statement, which is sent at the end of each month to your personal account on the GHC app and to your email address. The total amount for these expenses will be clearly indicated on your statement and must be reimbursed to GHC within 7 days. Our bank account details will be provided on your monthly statements.
Yes. GHC is available to individuals, couples, and families. Simply inform your broker of the individuals you wish to include in the program to receive a comprehensive rate proposal. Your children studying abroad or traveling for several weeks can also be covered under a GHC contract (inform your broker for addition to your plan).
Yes, if known and accepted by the insurer at the time of subscription, after analysing the medical questionnaire.
The premium depends on several factors, including:
- Your ageCountry of residence
- Presence of pre-existing conditions
- Number of individuals covered (if including family members)
Your GHC card may be temporarily blocked in cases of:
- Non-payment of your premium at the annual renewal
- Lack of justification for a medical expense
- Non-payment of your monthly invoice covering expenses done with your GHC card but excluded from your contract (monthly statement are sent every end of month and are payable within 7 days).
However, your insurance coverage remains in effect, though you will need to advance medical expenses with other means of payment. These expenses will be deducted from future GHC monthly invoices for non-medical expenses once your GHC card is reinstated or reimbursed to you by transfer if refunded.
